What happens online?

This page is going to talk about cyberbullying and cyberstalking and give you tips and tricks for using facebook.

Cyberbullying
What is it?

When someone bullies you online or through text messaging.  This can be saying mean things, or posting mean things over and over again. If someone is doing something that makes you feel bad, sad or angry

What to do if I am getting cyberbullied?

Stop what you are doing and tell a trusted adult 

 

Trusted adults might:

·         Take a screen shot

·         Talk to the Police or school and report it

 

Cyber Stalking
What is it?

When people think someone is looking at their online information too much and trying to use the information to hurt them.  Sometime this can happen by accident.  If you send a one or a few emails everyday to someone who does not respond or asks you to stop they may think it is cyberstalking. You might just see it as trying to get them to talk to you.

How to avoid cyberstalking

If anyone asks you to stop liking, posting or commenting on their page stop. If anyone asks you to leave them alone or not email or message them as much talk to a trusted adult to pick what to do next. Look at the unwritten of rules of Facebook for more tips and tricks to keeping friends online.
